Solve using the Gauss-Jordan elimination method

0 votes

X + 2y + z = 5

2x –y + z = -5

-3x + y -2z = 8

How would you solve this, can someone please give me the answer and also show me how you did it, because i have a test tomorrow and i need to know how to do this.

Best answer

Given equations are x + 2y + z = 5 ---> (1)

2x - y + z  = -5 ---> (2)

-3x + y -2z  = 8 ---> (3)

Convert the equations in to matrix form.

AX = D

A  is coefficient matrix , X  is variable matrix and D  is constant matrix.

From Guass-jordan method
