Can X^2-12=-4 be solved to this solution

using the square root method √(8)=2√(2)?

The equation is x2 - 12 = - 4.

Add 12 to each side.

x2 = - 4 + 12

x2 = 8

Take square root both sides.

x = ±√8

x = ±√(4 * 2)

⇒ x = ±2√ 2.

The solution is x = ±2√ 2.
