lim        (1+(1/x))^(x).

x → ∞

it makes sense to choose f(x) =ln(f(x))

lim        ln ((1+(1/x))^x

x → ∞

Using the formula:ln (a)^m =m ln(a)

= lim       x ln ((1+(1/x))

 x → ∞

=1                           (Since  lim        x ln(1+(1/x))=1)

                                        x → ∞

 

lim        ln ((1+(1/x))^x  =1   

x → ∞

lim        ((1+(1/x))^x  = e   

x → ∞
