You work in a candy store. You are in charge of designing candy boxes. Each square unit hold a piece of candy. How many different shapes of rectangular boxes can you make with 12 square units that must be side by side? Write a multiplication equation that describes the shape of each box and explain how you know you have identified all of the possible boxes that can be made with 12 square units.

We have 12 square units of candy boxes

Each candy boxe can occupy one square unit

To Find different shapes of rectangular boxes we have take the factor of 12

Possible shapes of rectangular boxes are

1×12   ------------- All boxes in a single row

2×6     ------------- Two rows with 6 each

4×3    -------------- Three rows with 4 each
