Let the total amount with jevi be x.

Then the amount with jevi's brother wil also be x.

Jevi have spent spent 2/5 of her amount means 2x/5.

Remaining amount left with jevi is (1-2/5)x = (3/5)x.

Similarly Jevi's brother have spent 3/10 of the amount means (3/10)x.

Remaining amount left with jevi's brother is (1-3/10)x = (7/10)x.

Total amount remaining with jevi and her brother is

Therefore amount left with jevi as well as jevi's brother is 78.

Total amount jevi and her brother = 78 + 78 = $156.

Total amount = $156.
