The function y = 3x2 - 6x + 4

Differentiating on each side with respect to x .

y' = 6x - 6

Substitute the value x = 3 in above equation.

y' = 6(3) - 6

y' = 18 - 6

y' = 12

This is the slope of tangent line to the y = 3x2 - 6x + 4 at x = 3.

Slope of tangent line = 12.
