Conics Question, Please Help!?

For any point P(2ap,ap^2), on a parabola of the form x^2=4ay, a normal can be drawn which will intersect the parabola at q(2aq,aq^2). A boy states that if OP is perpendicular ot OQ, then p^2=2. Investigate this claim.
