Total number of students are 200.

Let A be the event of subscribing to Time Magazine.

Let B be the event of subscribing to Sports Illustrated.

Probability of students subscribing to Time Magazine is 40 members out of 200 P(A)=40/200=0.2

Probability of students subscribing to Sports Illustrated is 65 members out of 200 P(B)=65/200=0.325

Probability of students subscribing to both is 10 members out of 200 image = 10/200 = 0.05

Probability of student subscribing to either Time Magazine or Sports Illustrated is  image.

We know that when two events are not mutually exclusive then

image

image = 0.2 + 0.325 - 0.05

image = 0.475

Therefore Probability of student subscribing to either Time Magazine or Sports Illustrated is 0.475.
