Bubble Chamber

It consists of a tank of superheated liquid hydrogen kept just on the verge of boiling.

When a particle moves through it can cause ions in the hydrogen around which tiny bubbles form.

The tank is kept in a strong magnetic field so charged particles follow curved paths.

The Alpha Particle and Positron (Positve Beta Particle) is deflected towards Negative Plate.

The Electrino (Negative Beta Particle) is deflected towards Postive Plate

The Neutron (Gamma Particle) is not deflected beacuse it carries no charge.

Matching:

(Beta Positive Particle) → (1)

(Gamma Particle) → (3)

(Alpha Particle) → (2)

(Beta Negative Particle) → (4)
