Step 1:

Super Position Theorem :

Take one current source at a time and replace all other current sources with open circuit and voltage sources with short or internal resistance.

Consider 2 A current source.

Use the current dividing rule to find the current through the 120 resistor.

Step 2:

Take another current source at a time and replace all other current sources with open circuit and voltage sources with short or internal resistance.

Consider I1 A current source.

Use the current dividing rule to find the current through the 120 resistor.

Step 3:

Take voltage source at a time and replace all other current sources with open circuit.

Consider 75 V current source.

Find the equivalent resistance.

Circuit current is .

Therefore the amount of current provided by the current source is image.

The direction of the current moves opposite to the 120 resistor.

Solution :

Current source is image.

Direction of the current is moving opposite to the 120 resistor.
