The inequality is

| - 5y + 3 |  >  7

(-5y + 3 )  >  7       or           (-5y + 3 )  <  - 7

-5y  >  7 - 3           or           -5y  <  - 7 - 3

-5y  >  4                or           -5y  <  - 10

5y  <   -4               or            5y  >   10

y  <   -4/5              or            y  >   10/5

y  <   -4/5              or            y  >   2

Answer :

The Solution is y  <   -4/5  or  y  >   2.
