What is the heat required in kilocalories to convert 2 kg of ice at 0°C completely into steam at 100°C?

hf = latent heat of fusion of ice (SI units)=80 kcal/kg
sh = specific heat of water (SI units)=0.5 kcal/kg
hv = heat of vaporization of ice (SI units)=0.54 kcal/kg
m = 2 kg
delta T = 100 C°

Q = hf(m) + (m)(sh)(delta T) + hv(m)
Q = 80(2) + (2)(0.5)(100) + 0.54(2)

    =60+100+1.08

    =161.08 kcal
