1)2x + 4 = 3(x – 8).
2x+4 = 3x-24

Bring variable terms to one side.

2x-3x = -24-4

-x = -28

x = 28

Option 3 is correct answer.

2)Let required number = x

The sum of 3 times the number and 10 is 25

3x+10 = 25

3x = 25-10

3x = 15

x = 15/3

x = 5

Option  1 is correct answer..
3)4|2x – 1| = 12.

|2x – 1| = 12/4

|2x – 1| = 3

2x – 1 = +/- 3.

2x = 3+1    or    2x = -3+1

2x = 4        or   2x = -2

x = 4/2       or  x = -2/2

x = 2         or  x = -1

Option 3 is correct answer.

4)–3x + 4 > 2x + 19.

-3x-2x > 19-4

-5x > 15

-x >15/5

-x > 3

Apply multiplication property, multiply  negitive one to each side and change the symbol.

x < -3

Option 4 is correct answer.
