Given equations are x-y = -1

Subtract x from each side.

x-x-y = -1-x

-y = -x-1

Multiple to each side by negitve one.

y = x+1

and second equation 2x+3y =18

Subtract 2x from each side.

2x-2x+3y = 18-2x

Divide to each side by 3.

3y/3 = -2/3x+18/3

y = -2/3x+6

To find coordinate pairs substitute x = 0,1,-1 in given equations.

Then then the points of first equation would be (0,1),(1,2), (-1,0)

Second equation points would be (0,6),(1,16/3),(-1,20/3)

Graph of above equations

Draw the coordinate plane.

Plot the above points.

Connect the ploted points.

Then the formed lines indicating given lines.

Observe the graph the two lines are intersecting at (3,4)

Solution of above equations is x = 3, y = 4.
