Given polynomial 2x^3-33x^2+157x-198

Dvisor is x-9

x-9 = 0

Add 9 to each side.

x-9+9 = 0+9

x = 9

By synthetic division

(2x^3-33x^2+157x-198)/(x-9) = 2x^2-15x+22
