The logarithemic equation is log w = 1/5 log x - log y.

log w + log y = 1/5 log x

Apply product property of logerthem : log (ab ) = log a + log b.

log (wy) = 1/5 log x

Apply power property of logerthem :  log a ^n = n log a.

log (wy) = log (x)^(1/5)

Apply one - to - one property of logerthem : log a = log ba = b.

wy = x^(1/5)

w = x^(1/5) / y.

Therefore, w = x ^(1/5) / y.
