Given

Radius (r ) = 5m.

Vertical height (h ) = 12m.

Slanted height (l ) = √(r 2 + h 2).

Substitute the values of r = 5 and h = 12 in l = √(r 2 + h 2).

l = √(52 + 122)

  = √(25 + 144)

  = √169

  = 13.

Therefore, slanted height of the cone is 13m.
