Say the points are

(x1, y1) = (5, 3)

(x2, y2) = (4, 1)

Slope(m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

m = (1 - 3) / (4 - 5)

m = - 2/- 1

m = 2.

Slope of the line is 2.
