The functions are x2 - 2x + 4 and x2 + 6x +14.

The above two functions are quadratic functions.

The related quadratic equations are x2 - 2x + 4 = 0 and x2 + 6x +14 = 0.

To find the zeros of each function, by  using the Quadratic formula.

Compare the equation x2 - 2x + 4 = 0 with general form of quadratic equation, ax2 + bx + c = 0, a ≠ 0.

a = 1, b = - 2 and c = 4.
