Data:

Interval:           Distance Traveled (m):     Delta t (s):             Average Speed (m/s):           Midpoint of Time Interval (s):

1-2                      0.009 m                               0.025                       0.36                                              0.0375

2-3                     0.015 m                               0.025                         0.60                                              0.0625

3-4                     0.0215 m                            0.025                          0.86                                              0.0875

4-5                     0.0275 m                              0.025                       1.10                                               0.1125

5-6                     0.0335 m                             0.025                        1.34                                               0.1375

 6-7                       0.0400 m                        0.025                            1.60                                             0.1625

7-8                     0.0455                              0.025                             1.82                                               0.1875

Calculations:

1) Enter the data for the avg speed vs. the time at midpoint in Excel.

2) Plot a scatter graph of speed versus time

3) Using excel, draw a best fit line through your data points. Do not set the intecept=0. Show equation of trendline on graph.

Results:

1) To three significant digits, state the value for the acceleration due to gravity g as measured from your graph. g measured =???

2) Using the accepted value g=9.80 m/s^(2), calculate your percentage error????

I have all of the data required. But Im unable to make the graph, since i have never used excel. I do not know what the y axis is or the x axis. I also need help with the result section which is number 1 and 2.
