1000 = .29(x - 9)3 + 300

700 = 0.29(x - 9)3

Multiply each side by 100

70000 = 29(x - 9)3

Take logarithm to each side(base 10)

log70000 = log29(x - 9)3

Recall : logarithm formula logab = loga + logb

log7 + log10000 = log29 + log(x - 9)3

0.8451 + log104 = 1.4624 + 3log(x - 9)

0.8451 + 4 = 1.4624 + 3log(x - 9)

4.8451 = 1.4624 + 3log(x - 9)

3.3827 = 3log(x - 9)

1.1276 = log(x - 9)

101.1276 = x - 9

x - 9 = 13. 415288

x = 22.415288.
