 If m∠M = 4x + 6 and m∠N = 2x + 30, what is the value of x?

Given that in a parallelogram MNTU,

∠M = 4x + 6 and ∠N = 2x + 30

In a parallelogram, the consecutive angles are supplementary.

  => ∠M + ∠N = 180

  => 4x + 6 + 2x + 30 = 180

  => 6x = 180 - 36        

  => x = 144/6

           = 24

Therefore x = 24.
