a) 6^(3x) = 104

Take logarthim both sides.

log(6^(3x)) = log(104)

3xlog(6) = log(104)

3x(0.778) =2.017

x =0.864

--------------

b) log2+log(4x-1) = 3

Apply logarithm product rule.

loga+logb = log ab

log(2(4x-1)) =3

log(8x-2)) =3

8x-2 =10^3

8x=1002

x =125.25
