            =  6 + 8x^2 - 9  

 

fog (x) =  8x^2 - 3  

 

Substitute x = -1 in above composite function

 

fog (-1) =  8(-1)^2 - 3 

 

            =  8 - 3 

 

fog (-1) =  5.
