If y varies directly with x then it should satisfy the equation y = mx ----------> (1)

Substitute y = -6.6 and x = 9.9 in Eq (1)

-6.6  =  m (9.9)

m  =  (-6.6) / (9.9)

m  =  -2/3

Substitute x = 6.6 and m = -2/3 in Eq (1)

y  =  (-2/3) 6.6

y  =  -4.4

Answer :

y  =  -4.4
