Let Apples be A

Bananas be B

And Pears be P

Given that

A + B  =  2.25 ---------- > (1)

B + P  =  2---------- > (2)

P + A  =  1.75 ---------- > (3)

Add equations (1), (2) and (3)

A + B  =  2.25

B + P  =  2

P + A  =  1.75

--------------------------

2A + 2B + 2P  =  6

2 ( A + B + P )  =  6

A + B + P  =  6/2

A + B + P  =  3 ------------ > (4)

Subtract Eq (1) from Eq (4)

Eq (4) =====>  A  +  B  +   P  =  3

Eq (1) =====>  A  +  B  +  0P  =   2. 25

                       (-)    (-)      (-)        (-)

                   ------------------------------------------

                                     P   =   0.75

Substitute P = 0.75 in Eq (2)

B + 0.75  =  2

B  =  2 - 0.75

B  =  1.25

Substitute B = 1.25 in Eq (1)

A + 1.25  =  2.25

A  =  2.25 - 1.25

A  =  1

Answer :

Apple cost  $ 1 Each

Banana Cost $ 1.25 Each

Pear Cost $ 0.75 Each.
