0 votes

I was absent the day my class learned this, and I'm confused on what to do. How would you factor y^2+12y+27?

y^2+12y+27

y^2+9y+3y+27

Take common terms in above expression.

y(y+9)+3(y+9)

(y+9)(y+3)

Factors y = -9, -3
