Given cost of two shirts 65

Let the cost of two shirts is x,y respectiveiy

 x + y = 65----------------(1)

The difference in their cost is $7

x - y = 7-------------------(2)

Add equation (1) and (2)

x + y + x - y = 65+7

2x = 72

x = 36

x = 36 is subsutite in (1)

36+ y = 65

Subtract 36 from each side

 36+y -36 = 65-36

y = 29

the cost of each shirt = 36, 29
