What is the absolute value of -3-5i?

[ Formula : Absolute value | -a | = a ]

Absolute value of -3-5i

There fore

=| - 3 - 5i |

Take out common negative signs.

= | - ( 3 + 5i ) |

[Note : | - a | = a ]

= 3 + 5i

there fore

Absolute value of -3-5i is 3 + 5i

= sqrt ((-3)^2+(-5))^2

= sqrt ( 9 + 25)

= sqrt (34)

i think your answer is incorrect

The absolute value of the complex number z = a + bi is | z | = | a + bi | = √(a2 + b2).
