solve over complex numbers

12x^2 = 20x+16x

12x^2 = 36x

Subtract 36x from each side.

12x^2-36x = 36x-36x

12x^2-36x = 0

12x(x-3) = 0

12x = 0,  x-3 = 0

x = 0, x = 3.
