6 over 8 is a proper fraction.

It's not a improper fraction and mixed fracton.

Because the denominator value is greater than numerator.

Proper fraction:

in the proper fraction, the numarator is less than the denominator.

Mixed fraction is look like a whole number and proper fraction together.

We can't convert proper fractions in to mixed fractions.

The fraction is 6/8.

The above fraction is not a mixed fraction, because the fraction does not contain the sum of the whole number and a fraction [ a b/c].

The above fraction is not a improper fraction, because the denominator value is greater than numerator.

The fraction 6/8 is only proper fraction.
