Given equation 5x^2-12x+7 = 0

Compare it to quadratic form ax^2+bx+c = 0

a = 5, b = -12, c = 7

Roots are x = [-b±√(b^2-4ac)]/2a

x = [12±√(144-140)]/10

x = [12±√4]/10

x = (12±2)/10

x = (12+2)/10 and x = (12-2)/10

x = 14/10 and x = 10/10

x = 7/5 and x = 1

Real solutions x = 7/5 and 1.
