If the cosin of an acute angel is .80, what is the cosin of half of that angle?

cos Ѳ = 0.8

cos Ѳ/2 = sqrt((1+cos Ѳ)/2)

Substitute 0.8 for cos Ѳ

                =sqrt((1+0.8)/2)

                 =sqrt 0.9
