\There is a large variety of different types of capacitors.
\Dielectric Capacitor
\Film Capacitor
\Ceramic Capacitor
\Electrolytic Capacitor.
\\
5.3) \ \ The capacitor is used to make a single-phase motor rotatte in one direction only by supplying a phase shift voltage to a starting winding on the motor. Without the capacitor the motor would run up in either direction after an intial spin of the shaft.
\Single phase induction motor is not the self starting so, to make it self start we can use capacitor& capacitor also provides high starting torque.

\Transformer needs a cooling system. Transformers can be divided in two types as (i) dry type transformers and (ii) oil immersed transformers.
\Different cooling methods of transformers are -
\For dry type transformers:
\Natural air cooling
\Blast air cooling
\For oil immersed transfomers:
\1) ONAN - Oil Natural Air Natural
\2) ONAF - Oil Natural Air Forced
\3) OFAF - Oil Forced Air Forced
\4) OFWF - Oil Forced Air Forced.

\Feeder is defined as lines, which connect the distribution station and distributor.
\1) Radial distribution system.
\2) Primary Loop distribution system.
\3) Network system.

The capacitor is used to make a single-phase motor rotatte in one direction only by supplying a phase shift voltage to a starting winding on the motor. Without the capacitor the motor would run up in either direction after an intial spin of the shaft. The rating would depend on the HP of the motor but theVA of the capacitor might 1/10 times the VA of the motor, which can be estimated from a formula: 1000*the horse power.

In single phase motors capacitors are used to provide a rotating magnetic field. There is generally two windings in the motor the main winding and the auxiliary winding. The main winding provides the most torque to spin the rotor of the motor. The auxiliary winding is used to create a phase shift between these two windings. This is where you get your rotating magnetic field. This is called the Cross Field Theory and it is actually quite complex. This phase shift can be done a few number of ways. Resistance can be added to the aux winding (but shortly after start up the winding will need to be switched out to avoid burning up), or a capacitor can also be used. These motors are called resistance split phase, capacitor start and capacitor run motors
