The equation is (x + 4)(2x - 3) = 6.

Destribute the terms using distributive property.

(x + 4)(2x ) - (x + 4)3 = 6

2x ^2 + 8x - (3x + 12) = 6

2x ^2 + 8x - 3x - 12 = 6

2x ^2 + 5x - 12 = 6

2x ^2 + 5x - 12 - 6 = 0

2x ^2 + 5x - 18 = 0

Factoor by grouping

2x ^2 - 4x + 9x  - 18 = 0

2x(x - 2) + 9(x - 2) = 0

Factor : (x - 2)(2x + 9) = 0

Apply zero product property.

x - 2 = 0 (or) 2x + 9 = 0

x = 2 (or) x = - 9/2.

Solution of the equation is x = 2 (or) x = - 9/2.
