Given f (x ) = - 3x + 4 and g (x ) = 3x + 3.

(1).

To find (f +g )(x ) = f (x ) + g (x )

                           = - 3x + 4 + 3x + 3

                           = 7.

(2).

To find (f - g )(x ) = f (x ) - g (x )

                          = - 3x + 4 - (3x + 3)

                          = - 3x + 4 - 3x - 3

                          = - 6x + 1.

(3).

To find (f . g ) (x ) = f (x ) . g (x )

                         = (- 3x + 4) . (3x + 3)

                         = - 9x2 + 12x - 9x + 12

                         = - 9x2 + 3x + 12

(4).

To find (f / g )(x ) = f (x ) / g (x )

                          = (- 3x + 4) / (3x + 3).
