The polynomial  is x 3 + 5x 2 + x  + 5

= x 2 (x + 5) + 1 (x + 5)

Take  common out ( x + 5) from above expression.

 = (x + 5) (x 2 + 1 )

Factoring of  x 3 + 5x 2 + x  + 5 = (x + 5) (x 2 + 1 ).
