The expression is (4 + √50) - (3 - √8).

= 4 + √50 - 1(3 - √8)

Apply Distributive Property: a(b - c) = ab - ac.

= 4 + √50 - 1(3) - (-1)(√8)

= 4 + √50 - 1(3) - (-1)(√8)

= 4 + √50 - 3 + √8

= 1 + √50 + √8

= 1 + √(2*25) + √8

Write 25 as 52  and 8 as 23.

= 1 + √(2*52) + √(23)

= 1 + 5√(2) + 2√(2)

= 1 + 7√(2)

The simplified expression is 1 + 7√(2).
