Find the first six terms of the sequence. a1 = 4, an = an-1 + 8

The sequence is an=an-1+8

First term,a1 = 4

an =an-1+8

an-an-1 =8

It is in the form an-an-1 = d

So the sequence is arithmetic sequence.

So common difference is d = 8

a1 = 4

a2 = a1+d = 4+8 = 12

a3 =a1+2d =  4+2(8) =4+16 =20

a4 = a1 + 3d = 4 +3(8) = 4+24 =28

a5= a1+ 4d = 4 +4(8) = 4+32 = 36

a6 = a1+5d = 4 +5(8) = 4+40 = 44

Therefore, the first six terms are 4,12,20,28,36, and 44
