Given (3x+2)² + 8(3x+2) + 12

Let (3x+2) = y

So the equetion becomes y² + 8y + 12

y² + 8y + 12

y² + 6y + 2y + 12

y (y+6) + 2(y+6)

(y+6)(y+2)

Now put y=3x +2

(3x+2+6)(3x+2+2)

(3x+8)(3x+4)
