The trinomial x ^3 + 14x ^2 + 85x

x (x ^2+ 14x + 85)

x (x ^2 +14x + 85 )

Factored form x (x ^2 +14x + 85 ).

To find x apply zero product property.

x (x ^2 +14x + 85 ) = 0

x = 0 and x ^2 +14x + 85  = 0

x ^2 +14x + 85  = 0

Compare it to quadratic form ax ^2 + bx + c = 0

= 1, b  = 14, c = 85.

x ^3 + 14x ^2 + 85x = x [x + (7+6i)][x + (7-6i)]
