a)The domain of a function is defined by the complete set of possible values of the independent varible x

Now form graph (a) the domain varies from +∞ to -∞ .It takes all values of x

Domain = {+∞ ,-∞}

The range of function is the set of all values that the function takes when x takes values in domain.

Now form graph (a) the range is y >=0

Range ={ 0 ,+∞}

Zero means the curve where intercepts the x-axis

Now form graph (a)  Zero at (0, 0)

b) The domain of a function is defined by the complete set of possible values of the independent varible x

Now form graph (b) the domain varies from +∞ to -∞ .It takes all values of x

Domain = {+∞ ,-∞}

The range of function is the set of all values that the function takes when x takes values in domain .

Now form graph (b) the range is y >=2

Range = {2 ,+∞}

Zero means the curve where intercepts the x-axis but  form graph (b) the curve doesn't intercept on x -axis so no zeros
