The function f(x) = - 3x2 + 5x + 7

y = - 3x2 + 5x + 7

Compare it to parabola equation y = ax2 + bx + c

a = -3, b = 5, c = 7

The x coordinate of vertex is axis of symmetry x = -b/2a

x = -5/2(-3)

x = 5/6
