Sixty applicants for a management position are given an aptitude test. The specifications of the test reveal that the population distribution is normal with a mean of 112 and a standard deviation of 10. Management applicants are required to have a score of at least 100. 

How many applicants would likely be rejected?

Mean = 112, stadardized value = 100

From normal distribution table of negative z score the value is 0.115

The number of applicants are sixty.

60 * 0.115

= 6.9

7 applicants are rejected.
