The inequality is 4 - 3(x + 4) < 4x + 6

4 - 3(x) - 3(4) < 4x + 6

4 - 3x - 12 < 4x + 6

- 3x - 8 < 4x + 6

- 3x - 4x <  6 + 8

- 7x < 14

Divide each side by negative 7 and flip the symbol.

x > - 2

Solution { x | x > - 2}.
