Best answer

Check the whether the points are satisfy the inequality .

A. (1,0)

y < (x-1)² - 3

Substitute x = 1 and y =0

0 < (1-1)² - 3

0 < -3

This is false. (Since 0 is  greater than -3)

B.(5,-3)

y < (x-1)² - 3

Substitute x = 5 and y = -3

-3 < (5-1)² - 3

-3 < 13

This is true.

C.(2,5)

y < (x-1)² - 3

Substitute x = 2 and y = 5

5 < (2-1)² - 3

5 < -1

This is false. (Since 5 is  greater than - 1)

D.(0,5)

y < (x-1)² - 3

Substitute x = 0 and y = 5

5 < (0-1)² - 3

5 < - 2

This is false. (Since 5 is  greater than - 2)

So option B is correct
