Given data :

mass ( m ) = 200 kg

constant velocity ( v ) = 4 m/s

kinetic coefficient of friction (µk) = 0.8

Earth gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s2

Power required to pull a mass (P) = ?

Gravity Force Fn = m g

Substitute m = 200 kg and g = 9.8 m/s2

Fn = (200)(9.8)

Fn = 1960 N

Friction Force Ff = F = µk Fn

Substitute µk) = 0.8 and Fn = 1960 N

Ff = (0.8)(1960)

Ff = 1568

Power P = F v

P = (1568) (4)

P = 6272 W

The power required to pulling is 6272 W
