The mid point of CD = M

Formula for the mid point is M = [ (x₁+ x₂)/2 , (y₁+ y₂)/2]

Let the coordinates of C = (x₁, y₁) and D = (x₂, y₂)

(x₁, y₁) = (- 8, - 8)

M = (- 6, - 1)

(- 6, - 1) = [ (- 8 + x₂)/2 , (- 8 + y₂)/2]

(- 8 + x₂)/2 = - 6

- 8 + x₂ = - 12

x₂ = - 12 + 8

x₂ = - 4

(- 8 + y₂)/2 = - 1

- 8 + y₂ = - 2

 y₂ = - 2 + 8

 y₂ =  6

Coordinates of D (x₂, y₂) = ( - 4, 6).
