The points are (0, a) and (5, b).

Substitute (x1, y1) = (0, a) and (x2, y2) = (5, b) in the two points form of line equation: y - y1 = [(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)](x - x1).

y - a = [(b - a)/(5 - 0)](x - 0)

y - a = [(b - a)/5]x

5(y - a) = (b - a)x

5y - 5a = (b - a)x

5y = (b - a)x + 5a

y = [(b - a)/5]x +a

The line equation is y = [(b - a)/5]x + a.
