Slope - intercept form line equation is y = mx + b where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

First find the slope using slope formula (m) = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

= (3 - 2)/(- 7 - 5)

m = - 1/12.

The line equation is y  = -1/12 x+ b

Find y-intercept value by substituting any point on the line say (5, 2)

2 = -1/ 12 * 5

b = 2 + 5/12 = 29/12

The line equation is y = -1/12 x + 29/12
